Breadily Impatient (Some Non-Vegan Recipes/Ingredients)

Bread is all so similar, just slight differences for the different textures. These are my current favorites.

Dinner rolls
Mix a cup of flour with 1-3 Tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 1/4 tsp yeast.
Heat up 2-3 Tbsp of butter or shortening in 1/4 cup water, and 1/2 cup milk (yes, even almond milk)-hot enough so you an stick a finger in, but not scream "ouch".
Mix these together completely, add 1/2 cup more flour, mix thoroughly, add another 1/2 cup flour, mix well, another 1/2 cup and mix.
Then flour a board and dump dough out, using 1/4-1/2 cup flour while kneading dough for about 5 minutes.
Cover dough and let it it for 15 minutes.
Cut into 12 pieces, make into dough balls.
Place in greased cake pan, allow to sit with no draft for 40-60 minutes.
Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
Brush 2-3 Tbsp melted butter or margarine over top.
Good sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar for breakfast!

The ridiculous biscuits
2 cups flour add 1 1/2-2 tsp salt, 1 1/2-2 Tbsp sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 4 1/2 Tbsp shortening, 1 Tbsp butter flavor powder, 1 tsp lemon or vinegar, 1 cup milk (can be milk going bad).
Mix well then use about 1/4 cup flour to lightly knead, and roll out to about a half inch height.
Make about 8 biscuits.
Place on greased baking sheet, or on ungreased parchment/splat mat.
Allow to rest while preheating oven.
Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes.
-Or  for baked biscuit sandwiches-roll thinner to make 16 biscuits, place one into large, greased muffin pan, add cooked egg, sausage, bacon, cheese, top with another biscuit.
Bake 15-20 minutes.

Naan
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4- 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup yogurt
Stir, let sit in room temp spot an hour.
Separate into 8 balls, roll out, try not to have too much excess flour on rounds before cooking.
Dry cook on each side a few minutes.
Spread with compound butter of garlic.

Bread, pizza, breadsticks, ciabatta, soft pretzel, bagel
Heat up a cup of water, add 3 tsp yeast, 3 Tbsp honey or sugar, let sit and foam for about 7 minutes.
Add in 4 cups flour, stir well.
Add and stir in more flour until the dough isn't too sticky.
Place into greased bowl, roll until all is coated with oil.
Allow to rise about a hour or so.
Knead with about 1/4 cup flour and 1 1/2 tsp salt for 5 minutes.
-Bread-place into greased bread pan to rise another half to full hour before baking a 350- for about 25 minutes.
-Pizza and bread sticks- roll into rounds or rectangles, cut stick strips, allow to rest anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Topped pizzas will cook for about 20 minutes at 500, and bread sticks at half the time. Once out of the oven, then you can brush with melted butter or olive oil and add a mixture of parmesan and salt.
-Ciabatta-roll into a 1/4 inch tall round, place on greased pan, allow to rise an hour. Sprinkle herbs and spices on top, drizzle with olive oil, then dimple bread, also pressing additions into dough. Bake 400 for 10-20 minutes.
-Pretzel- roll into 1/2 inch ropes. Drop into boiling water that has baking soda added, allow to boil about 5 minutes. Drain and place on greased baking pan. Brush with egg wash, add course salt, bake 15-25 minutes in 375 oven.
-Bagel- roll into 1/4-1/2 inch tall rounds, cut center out. Allow to rise for half an hour. Drop into boiling water that has baking soda added, allow to boil about 5 minutes. Drain and place on greased baking pan. Brush with egg wash, bake 15-25 minutes in 375 oven.
