Impatient Training and Reboot
Husband decided that he wanted to learn to cook (without having to follow silly recipes).
The first weekend was a basic yeast bread.
Second was a jewelled, vegan rice (tvp, rice, seasoning, pistacchios, broth, dried apricots, raisins, onion, tomato, red bell pepper).
Third, I ended up with strep throat, but had pulled out a pork roast to thaw-gave him written directions how to use the dutch oven with coal for the piece of meat- how to preheat, etc, outside. Pulled out seasonings for him to use his own judgement on so he can gauge seasoning use.
Everything has come out pretty perfect!
Never having had strep before, it has been/is still an interesting thing to go through.
The first day I just thought it was monthly issues, then 3 am I began throwing up.
By the second days' evening, my throat was sore and swollen, I pretty much figured I would die before my 21 year old cat.
On the third day I went in to see a doctor because I realized it wasn't allergies and found it hard to believe it was food poisoning. Although it felt almost exactly like it. Cramping, throwing up, no appetite. I think I lost my voice this day.
Continued to not eat, and throw up through to the middle of the fourth day until finally I had coaxed my body to chill so I could take the beginning of the antibiotics. This was the day he cooked the dutch oven pork roast-which I did try even with no appetite. Throat was barely swollen by now.
Fifth day had managed to convince my body it really didn't need to throw up anymore, but it continued with the mind altering excruciating cramps- I wake up every two hours while attempting sleep.
Sixth day, I had attempted to take baths and use heating pad to alleviate cramping but nothing is working. Just dealing now. Today I premade the vegan sauce for spaghetti tomorrow, will be ridiculous tomorrow. And thought, even though I am in so much pain, this was a good thing:

- I hadn't smoked in 5 days- I can probably quit because I am probably past the icky jonesy moments!
- I can now reboot my body since I excavated all bile and organisms in my body!
